(2 day module plus 1 day assessment)

Step is very poplular and this course will give the experienced studio instructor the skills and knowledge to teach a fun and effective step class. A series of workshops and lectures will introduce you to stepping techniques, class formats and management as well as a wide variety of teaching styles, which include basic choreography and an introduction to advanced choreography.

Prerequisites for this course:

• Practical experience in attending step classes is essential
• It is recommended that students have been teaching for 3 months
• Provide evidence of  NVQ Level 2 Certification

The Assessment for this course consists of:

• Practical assessment within a studio environment (plan, teach and evaluate)
• Required to bring a participant for the practical element of the assessment

Successful completion leads to CYQ Certificate in Step Level 2.
