  Certificate in Personal Training  

The fitness industry is expanding and so is the demand for highly skilled and motivated personal trainers.  Our course will train you to develop a career within a health club, leisure centre, client's home, outdoors and within a park setting.  As a qualified personal trainer you will be able to train a diverse group of people and have a major influence on their health and wellbeing.

This course is ideally suited for individuals wishing to work full time, part time, or on a self employed basis and is designed to give you the appropriate indepth knowledge and interpersonal skills to train a wide range of clients. As a Personal Trainer each day is different, you will enjoy the interaction of working on a one-to-one basis with your own clients, creating your own schedule and mentoring your clients to achieve their fitness goals and aspirations.

To be a Personal Trainer requires hard work, skill and motivation but the rewards are emense and you can choose to work independently and be your own boss or within a club setting.

The course is very challenging to undertake and requires considerable commitment in your personal discipline and application.  The Personal Trainer course is run in two formats:

  •     Intensive - run over 12 weeks
  •     Modular - where you take one course a month. 

Both formats cover both practical and theoretical elements as well as requiring home study and completion of assignment.

The Certificate in Personal Training (CPT) commences with the Gym Instructor Course.  If you already hold the level 2 exercise and fitness knowledge we will give you Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL) and you will only be required to re-sit the theory element of the course.  Please contact the office to chat about this further. Students undertaking the Level 3 CPT Modules must be over 18.

Client Lifestyle and Fitness Assessment
Nutrition and Weight Management
Business and Marketing Skills
Advanced Fitness Instructor

Training in Different Environments
Sports Conditioning
